I've had a down day today - we all have them I'm sure. I woke up feeling like all I wanted to do was go back to sleep. I was down for no reason at all, there's nothing wrong & I have nothing to be sad and angry about... I just was! Sometimes when we're feeling this way it's best to just let it pass, things often look and feel better in the morning. To help me out of my slump I've put together a little list of 5 things that make me happy, it's great to put into prospective how lucky we are!
All About Toning
Monday 1 August 2016
On Saturday I took the plunge and got my hair dyed for the first time in 18 months. I really wanted an ashy blonde ombre however the lovely hairdresser quickly told me that it wouldn't be achievable on the first visit as my hair was so warm-toned from previous treatments (I've been dying my hair on an off for almost 10 years -eeekk!)

Hair Care Must Haves
Friday 29 July 2016
Today I thought I would share my favourite everyday hair care products with you. I'm not one of these girls to massively fuss over my hair, I'm usually in a rush to get to work so for me I love products that can make it look like I've put effort in when I really haven't! I've picked out the 4 products that I find myself reaching for time after time, so if you're like me and are on the look out for some easy, good all round products keep reading!
Vegans Only Eat Salad
‘Vegans only
eat salad’ is a statement I think a lot of us have been guilty of believing at
one time or another. I remember sitting
in the office around 18 months ago discussing being a vegetarian (as I was at
the time). One of my colleagues asked if
I would ever consider going vegan and the look on my face probably said it
all.. ‘No way! I couldn't live off just salad, I like chocolate too much!’
It was only
about 3 months later that I stumbled across Essena O’Neil on YouTube. I was watching her videos on health and
exercise not actually knowing she was vegan, once I realised and saw how much
variety she had in her diet I started researching more, watching more YouTubers and eventually watching some documentaries that made me realise what veganism
was really all about & why it was something I wanted to be involved in. It took me another 6 months or so to
completely cut out dairy and eggs from my diet (I was already vegetarian)
mainly due to my love of chocolate. Six months into my journey I am completely
animal product free and can’t ever imagine going back to how I was.
So what do
vegans actually eat?
Is University Essential For Success
Monday 25 July 2016
A few weeks ago I was walking through a nearby village when
I passed the local primary school. This
got me thinking about how my days of education feel like a life time ago and
how unprepared I was for the final few years.
So what should you expect when leaving school? For some, you will have the excitement of a
university place waiting for you in September.
You will be sorting accommodation, buying new stationery and looking
into the best clubs for your fresher’s nights out. Others will have gap year plans. You’ll be getting ready to travel the world,
explore new places and experience things most people couldn’t dream of. But what about the rest of us? When I was 18 I had nothing planned, no job,
no further education, nothing. So what
happened to me?
